Jeffrey Castellas
CEO

Jeffrey is the co-founder of Clean Technology Australasia Pty Ltd and Cleantech Forum Pty Ltd. These companies are building the AustralAsian Cleantech network including leading the development of Cleantech as a new 21st century industry and asset class in Australia and Asia.

Jeff holds a number of senior Cleantech industry positions in Australia. He is the Chairman of the AustralAsian Cleantech Forum Advisory Panel of ten investment experts that assess and select promising Cleantech companies raising capital and seeking business partnerships. He is a member of the SIM Classification Panel of the Financial and Energy Exchange and a member of the Management Committee of the Australia India Business Council.

Jeff lived for over a decade in North America where he developed a global Cleantech network. He was a successful entrepreneur, leading the growth and exit of Cleantech companies such as Carnamah and 4D Models Technology. He was a co-founder and Director of Innovest Strategic Value Advisors (Australia) and he negotiated the recent acquisition. In addition, he has led strategic consulting assignments for the Asia Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate and is currently undertaking a economic study to accelerate growth of the “Victorian Cleantech Sector”.

Jeff graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Environmental Assessment and Land Use Policy from Deakin University, Melbourne and holds a Masters Degree in Sustainability Performance Measurement from Royal Roads University, Canada.

 


Peter Castellas
Managing Director

Peter is the joint founder and Managing Director of Cleantech AustralAsia, a business established to accelerate the investment in and deployment of clean technologies in the Asia Pacific region. Throughout Peter's 20-year entrepreneurial career, he has worked at the leading edge of the sustainable development agenda and has advised leading corporations, governments and financial institutions. He has designed and run successful Cleantech Finance & Investment Initiatives throughout Asia and has recently completed a major international project for the Asia Pacific Partnership for Clean Development and Climate to develop a Strategic Action plan to increase the investment in and deployment of renewable energy in India.

Peter is also the Fund Advisor of the Sustainable Melbourne Fund where he has pioneered a number of innovative financing models and turnkey solutions for the upgrade and retrofit of commercial buildings. Peter and has held roles including the Sustainability Advisor for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Head of International Business for Melbourne University Private, and National Environmental and Engineering Manager for Dunhill Management Services. Peter is a National Councillor for Environment Business Australia. He is a regular presenter at national and international conferences and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Education in Environmental Studies.

 


Adrian Asfar
Industry Network Manager

Adrian Asfar is the Industry Network Manager of Cleantech AustralAsia™ Pty, focusing on forum management, website development, and cleantech business development strategies. Adrian's key interest lies in assisting cleantech companies in the commercialisation of their sustainable technologies. Prior to his entry into the CleanTech industry, Adrian had a Career in IT & Data Communications with U.S.Robotics Corporation and was responsible for establishing their AustralAsian operations. Adrian is also the founder and Director of NETASYS PTY LTD, a high tech consultancy service focused on cutting edge CleanTech solutions and a Director of Energy Alternatives.

A proven entrepreneur, Adrian began his IT career very early and created his first million dollar venture by the age of 21 which was subsequently purchased by U.S. Robotics. In 1996 he was nominated a Young Australian of the Year for his entrepreneurial skills. After a merger between 3Com and U.S.Robotics, Adrian left the company and shifted his interests into Cleantech focussing primarily on sustainable technology research and strategic planning for business development. Adrian carries with him an extremely broad skill base in all aspects of clean technologies and product commercialisation.
